Wow, already been out a month! I finally remembered my list of things to say this week so this email will make more sense.
so several things, first off, i have a cool story my companion shared with me! so this Rasta man (Rastafarianism, google it) had a huge thing of hair, like they do. they dont wash it alot. anyhow, this man complained about how when he was sleeping, his head would hurt, but he would wake up, kinda itch his hair and go back to sleep. so after a while of this, he was talking to a person one day and the person noticed some blood running down by his ear. right after, the man dropped to the floor. they rushed him to the nearest "hospital" (lol, they call them that) and he was dead. any guesses what killed him? they found a nest of 24 ish centipedes in his hair, and they had slowly eaten through his skull and yeah... so sorry for the nasty story, but i wanted to share! dont worry, i keep my hair shorter and wash it more often than that.
So, while on the subject of bugs, we found and killed a small kissing spider in our apartment. A kissing spider is a spider that gets pretty large and just sits over your mouth when you sleep. no one knows why they do it, maybe they clean food off your mouth or maybe they like your breathing but yeah, cool stuff!
this week has been pretty slow, easter here is crazy! its a 3 day event and everything was shut down and deserted where we were at, thats why i couldnt email on monday, the shop was closed. We had the smallest sacrament meeting possible, with 1 member in attendance. so me and my companion conducted and ran everything for the 1 member and ourselves. take that Utah and your 300+ sunday attendance!
I am getting slightly better at understanding people. Its fun because if ever me and my comp need to speak about someone, we can just do it in pig latin in front of them and they can't understand us. he is fluent as well as me in pig latin so its awesome! i never thought that would come in handy!
Hmm, about ties... silk ties don't work out here... a couple good rain storms and they are ruined so half my ties are silk, so idk what i will do. I may get them sent back or try to trade them off to the unsuspecting victim/missionary. we shall see.
I am doing good out here, things are still taking a while to pick up but we have some good investigators now and I predict at least one of them will get baptized. for P-day this week, we went fishing by the river and caught some crawdads and just relaxed, it was fun.
My best wishes to everyone!
