Well, thus ends a next transfer. We got our transfer calls on Friday and we are all staying here in Point, no changes These transfers are flying by now. We had the 2 days locked in for the Boroughs Day fete (party) and we heard a lot of music. LOUD music was playing from Friday afternoon straight through to Saturday night. Every waking and sleeping hour, music. Wednesday was pretty bad too cause we were still at our apartment that night and some place pretty close played music the whole night starting at midnight and all till noon the next day. I slept through it kinda ok, Elder Cox however had a miserable night. I am glad Im a heavier sleeper! That was a long day cause we were grouchy and tired and it was hot. Its been really blazing hot lately.
Wednesday we visited Br. Bernard, the man who was baptized last month or so ago, and he is still unemployed. We uplifted him and encouraged him the best we could and shared about fasting as fast sunday was coming up. Then at the end of the lesson I was looking at his partly broken fan (the rotate thing wasn't working) and I remember "hey! I know how those work, maybe I can fix it!" I took it apart and 5 minutes and a piece of wire later, the fan was fixed. I wish there were more things I could fix out here, its really fun.
Last night we had the chance to go to a meeting with the Brenham-ite church/movement. It was an interesting and very nice experience. They were very nice and while we did discuss beliefs of our different faiths there was no contention. They are doing some great things out here and all over the world to share the gospel and live it, and I respect them highly for that. That's something I wish more people understood, just how much other church's still help people and share the word. Too many Mormon's get the idea that our church is the only good church. We may have all the truth, but we are far from the only good church. It was an excellent experience to be having a discussion with 20 or so of these brothers and answering all their questions. Again, it wasn't confrontational, but it was sure great, just me and my companion, standing up for what we believe and sharing it with such a large group. Probably one of my favorite memories in this area so far!
During the borough lock-in I had a chance to get a lot of great studies in. I got through Isaiah in my quest to complete the bible, that was a huge mile marker. I also had some excellent insights and ponderings about just how Christ's Gospel and his mercy and justice work. I am very grateful for just how loving and forgiving He is. He helps us overcome our weaknesses, even if they are recurring, and allows us to develop and better ourselves. This Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only way man can truly reach his potential. I would not be as happy if it were not for Jesus Christ. Period (not to even mention I may not be on the earth, or they may not even be an earth, but you get the point)
I know this gospel is true. Christ really is there!

Here we are playing Risk, (im taking the pic) This round here wasn't it but we played a version of risk we made up where we all take our turns simultaneously after writing down our battle plans on paper before. It changed the whole way the game works and how you have to play and was really fun. We are hoping for a lot of great success this upcoming transfer, and if its God's will, we will see some great blessings from our efforts. I hope you all take care and I will talk to you all next week!
