First off, no, Curtis didn't get baptized, we are trying for this weekend instead. Its more important that someone is ready for that covenant than to rush them to something that they may not be prepared for. On the plus side then, we have 3 people scheduled to be baptized this saturday! We will have to see how they are feeling as the day approaches, but hope for a great success story for next week. A success that we did have down here in Point Fortin was that a man from the other Elder's side got baptized on Friday and confirmed on Sunday. He is solid, and will really help us build the kingdom here. Total by the end of July, we should hopefully have 5 baptisms in this month here alone. Thats more than double our yearly total so far, and is a goal we are all striving for. I believe that fast that was held has made a great difference. I continue to learn how powerful fasting is.
Here is that man, Anthony's baptism. It was a stormy day but it stopped raining long enough for us to perform the service. It made a pretty sweet picture still!
I went on 2 tradeoffs this week. One was in point with elder Little, the next one was up to San Fernando, and was unusual as it happened on a Saturday night and I got to spend the sunday in a ward other than were I was serving. I learned so much from E. Ferrin, the missionary I was with. I am going to be a so much better missionary than I now am. My companionship with E. Anderson is still moving along with some struggles but we made excellent head way this week and both of us are learning so much from our experiences together. I can pretty much know that our being put together was inspired from the growth I am seeing.
We had a cool lesson on trade off here. It was sweet cause we saw the man at first plan on getting married and baptized next year, then the spirit taught him and he agreed to october, then the member we were with testified to him and told him that was much to far away. Now he plans on having it done before the first week of september. Really cool to see how effective memberwork is and to see the spirit teach others.
I don't have my planner with all my notes on what to email this week cause I am still on tradeoff, we will switch back today. so, because of that, this is all I really have to say this week.
Love you all! -Elder Jeppson
p.s. missions rock.
also, this next picture, this man has a "lovely bunch of coconuts!"
