Busy week. I still don't understand how time works out here. The hours go slow, the day goes fast, the days go slow, the week goes fast, the month goes fast. Its crazy. The fastest day is p-day of course, time hits warp drive on p-days. So last p-day we went to St. Georges and bought a nicer stereo/sound system for the aparment out of personal. Im kinda addicted to music, and now we blast EFY and MoTab and Classical music all day. Not blast really, but music tends to be playing most of the time in our apartment when we are there. Thats about all we did that day.
Tuesday we went do district meeting. It was weird being there with only 6 Elders from the Island, instead of our usual 10 missionaries. Stupid immigration. Hopefully next transfer they will get more in, but from the sound of it, nothing is in the works yet as far as papers and work permits, so likely I will be staying on Grenada next transfer as well, which I am ok with. At DM we were told of a new Key Indicator that our mission is now using, Member Referrals Taught. Its supposed to increase our work with the members, as that is the best way of doing the work.
After DM we drove back to GV (Grenville) to work on our apartment with the senior couple, the Browns. We toiled hard and kinda made our beds better by putting plywood under the mattresses to keep it from sinking through the bed boards, then we put up screening on the windows in the bathrooms and the bedroom, which is super helpful as it cuts down the bugs. We didnt get too much done in missionary work as I was then left with the task of caulking the entire bathroom which the worker hadn't done so I did that for the first time that night, which was good, I learned something new and practical, and it went pretty well.
Wednesday it rained. All. Day. Literally, all day. We walked in it, got soaked, and all our stuff pretty much fell through and there was no one to talk to as it was rainy, and they were all indoors, windows and doors tightly closed.
Me and Elder Regis are still getting along great, and we are working hard, but arent seeing too much successes yet. Still no investigators coming to church, even though they said they would. due to fathers day, Im assuming thats why. Oh, which reminds me, quick shout out to pops, Happy Fathers Day/ Birthday! Sorry its late, but its the best I can do!
This Pday me and elder Regis went to the beach and got some sweet pictures and adventures. It was a blast, and we found some guy on the beach who cut up some coconuts for us to drink/eat. It was a great day and the only downer was I forgot sunscreen on my neck. I got everything but my neck, so I expect the next few days to be something painful! Already hurting a bit from it on my collar and its been just 3 hours.
Anyhow, I hope you enjoy the pictures, and I hope you all have a good week. Love you all!
