Yeah a lot happened and a lot to write about.
This sunday was a hindu festival called Pog-wa (idk how to spell it), its called the festival of colors in Utah I believe. Basically people go on through powder on each other, and then colored water and it gets crazy. In places like Guyana where it is bad missionaries are allowed to proselyte in p-day clothes so as not to get their stuff stained, but it is more contained here in Trinidad so we got to wear our whiteshirts. no one bothered us, but it was a little funny to watch people walking around looking like some sort of rainbow canvas.
There is a lot of smoke in the air right now because they are burning all the fields and sugar cane fields right now, just cause we are entering dry season and its an easy way to keep the bush down. Im glad im not an asthmatic, you see ash fallingsometimes in the middle of town and stuff.

A good spiritual story is our investigator, sis. Dixon (who is Hindu) has been doing really well. Last week we challenged her to remove all her Hindu stuff as she is a christian now. She has been Hindu for her whole life, and is pretty attached to some of that stuff. When we came back later in the week, she had removed her shrine, the Hindu Pictures, and her altar outside. She is doing really well. Reading the Book of Mormon daily really helped her do that, I have a testimony of how important it is to do that.
So yeah, my transfer call, I am going to Point Fortin to be a DL. My companion will be an Elder Cox, and this will be his 3rd transfer so he is kinda young. I will also be on bikes, so that will be sick! i will get in all sorts of good shape! My mailing address will be the same, so keep 'em coming! ;)
We went to the beach this morning, we got up early to beat the traffic and went to Maracas beach. we did some sports, tried to make a sand castle, and studied some scriptures. It was really nice and peaceful, getting to sit there and read the scriptures with the beautiful breeze coming in, just enough to rustle the pages of the books with a lovely sea breeze.

here is the view of the area where the beach was with the sunrise. the small bay you can barely see the sun reflect on is the one where we went and studied. and we also ate shark there. that was good. Its called Bake n' Shark, and its a famous Trini native dish. really good. you can load up the sandwich with all the things that are there, and there are a lot of things. cheap too. I got 2 sandwiches for 40tt, so like 7.50us?
another great highlight this week is we had a cultural celebration for the church in the West Indies for being here 25 years officially. There was a lot of sweet stuff, and this really cool rap song that a member here made about being a "latter day saint" was my favorite performance. we had a huge turnout and got some investigators there. this is only the first in several performances for that celebration until 2015, so you will see more of that later in the year.

Thats all I have time for this week, I hope you all enjoy reading about my escepades here in Trinidad.
Enjoy!

P.S. more pics, in case you wanted them!
the first one is me playing frisbee with a pancake, cause we had extra and the jungle was hungry. that happened today...
2nd one, nasty spider on my comps shoe. right after this pic was taken the spider was humanely put to death by another shoe.
3rd one. Me, saying hello!
4th pic... planner cover, do you make planner covers in other missions? IDK, but i got bored of the cut outs from liahonas and gospel art books so I made one out of a mac n cheese box on one side, and a TT dollar bill for the other. I hope they don't mind. that side will have to be hidden so im not likely to be robbed, even though its only worth like 18 cents US. you can see my old planner with temples on it in the background. I hope this pic has time to upload, if it doesnt, then you wont see it cause i have 2 mins left and it may not be done in time. in the meant time, i am gaffing in circles here keeping my fingers busy... hmm, not enough time. sorry!
