So we got our transfer calls this week! Surprisingly enough, I am actually staying here in Point for a 5th transfer, this will be the longest I have been in any area! My new companion's going to be an Elder Sorensen and he has been our for over a year as well, so we should be a powerhouse team, ready to rip it up down here!
Elder Anderson is going to be leaving to Diamond Guyana, which means he is leaving the country and has to leave behind a lot of his stuff. I have a pile of his forsaken belongings that we are probably going to cast lots on after or something to divvy it up! ;)
I got 3 pairs of pants tailored this last week. They are now a little thinner on the legs, and not so baggy. I wish I had done that at the beginning of my mission, but I was ignorant that they were so baggy then. Oh well, problem solved.
Struggle of this week was the sugar ants found our cereals. we had carelessly left them them out on top of the microwave instead of in the fridge and I normally have had to down here. Since we hadn't had ant problems before, I didn't bother but I regret it now. About 3 half bags of cereals and some vexxed missionaries later, all is now well, and stored in the fridge. stupid ants.
Another struggle this week. Our cooking gas (propane) ran out and so we had to run and get a new one this morning. All the places we checked were out, and we ended up walking all over, carrying this heavy tank trying to find a place to exchange it. A long while later, and after having taken a couple taxis, we finally found a place that was open and wasn't out. We then went back home and had bacon and eggs on our new gas, and the bacon wasn't too good. totally not worth the effort. :(

Me and E. Anderson made sure to work hard to win this for the previous transfer that just finished. I did it to be a birthday gift to my mom. Happy Birthday mom! We also get a wafflemaker to keep. Too bad E. Anderson is shipping out and doesn't get to enjoy it!
To end on a spiritual note would be that we have zone conference coming up and Elder Claudio D. Zivic will be there from the Caribbean area presidency. For those who don't know, he is a member of the 1st quorum of the seventy, and has spoken a couple times in general conference. I am really looking forward to hearing him in person and shaking his hand!
A big thing I learned this week was how important it is to teach and understand the doctrine (or the why) before we teach the what. For example, before teaching the need to repent and follow god's commandments, the person should understand first how sin makes us unclean and unable to dwell with God. Teaching this way helps people follow more what we teach and connect better the commandments to the reasons why. I know I learn better that way. so try to connect to or understand the doctrine first, and then the behavior. True doctrine understood changes behavior faster than the study of behavior changes behavior. I know that that is very true!
That's all for this week, Love you all, stay close to the Lord, and peace out!
