The work here is really exploding (in a good way). We had 3 people come to church (Debbie, Sis. Kunjal, and Curtis) and all 3 of them have baptism dates. Curtis is a new one, we have only taught him 3 times but he is a golden investigator and really wants to make these changes in his life. He has a baptism date set for July 5th so I will keep everyone posted on that. He is super excited and can't wait to be baptized. He has searched to so many church's after some trial came in his life and when he visited ours, he said "its the most sincere church I have been to yet." This is really a testimony builder cause he has been to pretty much every church point Fortin, and they are not few! We are finding so many prepared people and I really feel like the Lord is allowing this to happen because I have really been pushing myself to be more diligent/obedient/focused lately, especially since our last zone meeting.
On the topic of our last zone meeting and the focus as of late of obedience and responsibility, I figured out some really cool stuff from Alma 12:9-11 and my pondering on it. Basically it clicked in my head how obedience leads to power, which gives us more freedom. freedom is having more choices, which in turn gives us more chances to be obedient and the cycle continues, until we become perfected in Christ. Really cool figuring that out! Gospel is really true!
I had 2 flat tires in 24 hours, that sucked a bit more. Btw, I measured it out exactly, and our trip last week to Icacos was forty five miles, I estimated low last week. I still have some sunburns on my legs from that one! (I had sunscreen on mom, don't worry, it just sweated off from 6 hours in the sun/sand) Biking continues to be amazing, so much better than walking. Also, we saw a sweet sunset, jealous? there are too many here to take pictures of them all.
My new companion is Elder Anderson. He is a bit different than me, and our personalities don't exactly match perfectly, but we both want to work hard and I tend to be able to get along with most people, so I have no worries. He is from Arizona, and has curly hair. sorry, no pictures of him yet, but I will try to get one sent soon. there is a lot I look forward to helping him out with. Its still weird to be in the more experienced half of the mission as far as time out has been. I have to help others more now than be helped by more experienced people. I will grow a lot this transfer I wager.
So in conclusion, im happily facing my new trials and challenges (and hot days) and the church is true. The gospel continues to bless my life in EVERY aspect. If you don't feel the same, your not putting enough faith and effort into it.
